What is a preventive care plan?

What does a Preventive Care Plan include?
We have a variety of plans to suit your pet’s needs based on species, age, and health status.
Unlimited wellness examinations with an appointment (Walk-ins, urgent care, and emergencies are not included).
Routinely recommended preventive care, including vaccination, fecal exams, and heartworm tests.
It also includes some diagnostics, that we recommend being performed on an annual basis for early detection of issues, such as full bloodwork, urinalysis, and full-body radiographs.
Depending on the age of the pet, the upgraded plans include either spay/neuter or dental cleanings.
What are the benefits of enrolling my pet on a Preventive Care Plan?
By focusing on prevention, Preventive Care Plans help your veterinarian better understand your pet’s regular healthcare needs. Because your veterinarian understands your pet’s health baseline, they are more likely to detect a problem before conditions worsen. Early diagnosis can also result in a better prognosis.
What is the difference between a Preventive Care Plan & Pet Insurance?
Although wellness care is an essential part of responsible pet parenting, there is a clear distinction between a wellness plan and pet health insurance. Pet insurance is intended to help cover unplanned veterinary visits, including diagnostics, treatment, and medication for injuries or illnesses that can quickly become very expensive and aren’t as easy to budget for. Pet insurance does not cover routine wellness care. It’s like how car insurance is meant for car accidents, which are unexpected, but it doesn’t cover the expected and routine oil changes, brake pads, or car washes.
Is it possible to cancel my Preventive Care Plan?
All our plans are annual agreements, which allow for you to pay for your services interest free over a 12-month period. You may cancel your plan at any time before the expiration date by either paying the retail value of your plan services used, or the remainder of your plan’s value, whichever is less.
Is my pet’s Preventive Care Plan transferable?
No – the plan is exclusively for Eco Deco Pet Hospital.
